Who Are We?

Wish Granters is a non-profit organization located in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to grant the wishes of terminally ill adults in our service area, providing joy, hope, and fulfillment to their lives. We strive to create a compassionate and supportive environment for them, where their dignity and respect are upheld. Our wish-granting program is designed to create lasting memories for them and their loved ones to cherish forever. We encourage compassion, kindness, and understanding towards those who are facing the end of their lives.

Our humble beginnings started with a man named Doug Raper. While working for an organization that granted wishes for children, Doug started receiving wish requests for terminally ill adults. He decided to start an organization that would provide wishes to those adults who did not qualify for a wish from any other organization. Thus, in July 2010, Wish Granters was born, and the very first wish was granted on December 17th, 2010. A gentleman diagnosed with ALS wished for a helicopter ride with his wife and two sons, and we made that wish come true.

Wish Granters is the only adult wish-granting organization in Idaho, currently serving Ada, Canyon, and Gem counties, with a goal to expand into additional counties.  We do not receive any state or federal funding, so we rely exclusively on the generosity of community members, businesses, grants and fundraisers.

To date, Wish Granters has granted more than 425 wishes! YOU are the sole reason these wishes can come true. More wishes are coming in all the time, and we need your continued help to make them happen. Please join our cause!
