Wishes Granted in 2026
♥ Laura (“Scout”) – Her wish was to have some meals provided for herself, her husband, and her caregiver for a few weeks. She always loved to cook, but due to her medical situation, she unfortunately is not able to. These meals gave them some relief from planning or picking food up, as well as a feeling of having a cooked meal instead of takeout all of the time. We gave them some food delivery gift cards as well. Scout’s husband said the meals were delicious and super helpful! We want to give a big thank you to Last Bite Meals for their generous help with this wish! They had great communication and were very accommodating throughout the process.
♥ Fred – Their wish was for their child and four grandchildren to fly from Oklahoma to visit them one last time. They said they wanted to say their goodbyes and tell them how much they love them and how proud they are. Fred was overjoyed with the visit. This is a note from their daughter upon returning home: “It was wonderful. We truly appreciated the gift of the Wish Granters and all that your organization does for families. Our last memories will never be forgotten.”
♥ Amber – Her wish was to go to Disneyland with her kids and grandkids. They had an amazing time at both Disneyland and California Adventure and even took a day to enjoy the beach! These are some words from Amber “Oh my gosh… my heart is full and I am so grateful and thankful for this opportunity. It means more than you could ever know.” Our thanks to Get Away Today, Karmel Connect, Select Mobility Scooter Rental, and an anonymous donor for helping to make Amber’s wish come true for her and her family.
♥ Jerome – His wish was to have his truck repaired. He said it most importantly would allow him to spend more time with his children and help his daughter practice driving. We want to give a BIG thank you to Christian Brothers Automotive on Calderwood Dr in Meridian! Due to the amount of repairs that would need to be done to Jerome’s truck, they instead donated a car that wasn’t being used at their shop, and heavily discounted the repairs that needed to be done to it. We are so thankful to provide Jerome with a reliable vehicle, and we greatly appreciate Christian Brothers for their generosity!!
♥ Ember – Her wish was for a saltwater hot tub because it would be therapeutic and a huge pain reliever for her. We are so excited we could get this for her! This is what her friend said after the wish was completed: “She was so happy. She cried with so much joy and said thank you, thank you! She stayed in for hours once it was ready! She was so relaxed and happy. I could see she felt whole again being able to get in the water.” We want to give a special thank you to Ben at Ben’s Pool Care for donating the installation and setup!
♥ Paula – Her wish was to see the Eagles perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas with her husband, and it turned out to be everything she hoped for. They had an incredible time! When they returned, she said: “It really and truly was a once in a life event. Words fail me on thanking you. That just doesn’t seem to cover it!”
♥ Don – His wish was a deeply thoughtful one—he asked for help covering expenses so his sister-in-law and brother-in-law could come to Idaho and support his wife during his memorial service. Even in his final days, Don’s focus remained on caring for his wife. Don’s wife was incredibly touched and grateful that we were able to make this happen for her and their family.
♥ Michele – Her wish was for new dentures so that she could enjoy eating again without pain. She was so thankful that Wish Granters was able to grant her wish and said Wish Granters is “truly a blessing.” We extend our thanks to 1st Class Dentures for their generosity and partnership in helping make Michele’s wish come true!
♥ Eric – His wish was to go to Disneyland with his wife and kids to share childhood experiences with his children. This amazing message is what the family shared with us upon their return: “Witnessing Eric’s uninhibited happiness and enthusiasm throughout this special occasion was incredibly heartwarming. It wasn’t just an event; it was a deeply meaningful opportunity for him to forge new, precious memories with our children. He delighted in sharing stories from his own youth, creating a beautiful bridge between his past and their present, filled with laughter and wonder. Seeing him so completely engaged and content was a gift in itself for us. Eric specifically asked me to convey his profound gratitude. He shared how incredibly significant it was for him to not only create these invaluable moments with his kids but also to vividly relive cherished memories from his own childhood. This gesture provided him with a much-needed sense of rejuvenation and profound happiness.” Thank you to Get Away Today for their help with making Eric’s wish come true!
♥ Mel – His wish, which was our very first Boise County wish, was to celebrate his 87th birthday in June with a Mexican-themed party surrounded by family and friends. Although Mel passed away before his birthday, we were honored to host a special celebration of his life for those who loved him. One of the most meaningful moments of the gathering came when family and friends sang “Happy Birthday” to Mel and released a balloon in his memory. It was a touching tribute that reflected the love and admiration everyone felt for him. Mel’s wife was so grateful for everything the Wish Granters team provided to make the celebration special. We also extend our sincere thanks to Trudy’s Kitchen for assisting with the food, and to our own board members—Kraig, Debbie, Annette, and Bonnie for helping provide items that made Mel’s celebration so memorable.
♥ Cris – Her wish was to travel to Hawaii with her husband and children. She shared that Hawaii was her ultimate destination, and spending time on the beautiful island of Kauai would be a dream come true. After returning home, Cris told us that Kauai was absolutely amazing and expressed her gratitude many times for the wonderful experience. We extend our thanks to everyone who helped make Cris’s wish come true, including Brad Vander Zanden, Yifan Tang, Hele at Kauai Bike Rentals, Capt. Andy’s Sailing Adventures, The Beach House, Luau Ka Hikina, and Nicole Ghigliotty Photography. Their kindness and generosity helped create lasting memories for Cris and her family.
♥ Karen- Her wish was to have her best friend fly from Oklahoma to spend time with her one last time. Karen said that they wanted to “bond, hang out, chat, and love one another.” And that’s exactly what they did. Together, they created beautiful memories, cherished every moment, and enjoyed each other’s company. Karen said they had “a wonderful time every day.” We are so grateful Karen and her dear friend were able to share this special time together. These moments of love, friendship, and connection are truly priceless.
♥ Michael- His wish was simple but meaningful—a brand-new roof for the family home. After completing many updates over the last several months, this final project was the missing piece that truly brought their home transformation to life. Thanks to the incredible craftsmanship and generosity of Cornerstone Roofing of Idaho, that wish became a reality earlier this month. Their team went above and beyond to give Michael and his wife not only a beautiful new roof, but also peace of mind for years to come. The joy in their reaction said it all! They are beyond grateful for everyone who played a part in making this dream come true.
♥ Alejandra – Her wish was more than just a getaway—it was the chance to step away from the challenges of everyday life and experience the breathtaking beauty of Idaho’s mountains with the people she loves most. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, that wish became a reality with a memorable retreat to Donnelly, Idaho. Alejandra and her family spent two unforgettable days in a beautiful lakeside home overlooking the peaceful waters of Cascade Lake. Our thanks to Staycay Vacation Rentals, Norco. Keliann and the McCall Senior & Community Center, and Lago Chapala Mexican Restaurant for your generosity in making Alejandra’s wish possible. A special thanks to a compassionate volunteer (thank you Lori!) who stepped in without hesitation to share her own groceries when an unexpected DoorDash mishap threatened their first evening. Over two incredible days, Alejandra and her family created memories that will stay with them for a lifetime. Their wish became so much more than a getaway—it became a reminder that hope is real, community is powerful, and love can be found in the hearts of so many.
